Dennis A. Marikis, Ph.D.\"\"<\/h1>

Dennis <\/span>A. Marikis<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>completed his BS, MA and PhD in <\/span>Counseling <\/span>and Clinical Psychology\u00a0<\/span>from the\u00a0<\/span>Ohio State University<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>He\u00a0<\/span>completed<\/span>\u00a0post-<\/span>graduate<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>clinical experience in individual<\/span>\/<\/span>group therapy<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>forensic evaluations integrat<\/span>ed\u00a0<\/span>with the University of Iowa and the Veteran\u2019s Administration. He has also been a Clinical Trainer at the Ohio State University, a Counselor at Kenyon College and in various private and public agencies providing services to children and adults.\u00a0 He currently holds a license in Clinical Psychology in the\u00a0<\/span>S<\/span>tate of Ohio.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In 1983, Dennis founded Mt. Vernon and Mansfield Psychological Services, a multi-faceted private mental health clinic serving<\/span>\u00a0individuals and organizations in a<\/span>\u00a0five<\/span>–<\/span>county area. He continues to\u00a0<\/span>serve as the Director and has established numerous employee assistance programs and consultation services for businesses, churches<\/span>, educational<\/span>\u00a0and health care facilities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Since 2005, Dennis has served as a coordinator for ACT (Adults &<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Children Together Against Violence,) the American Psychological Association program for training in Cognitive Interventions for Trauma Based Treatment for Children. He also serves as a military trainer for Cognitive Interventions for Trauma.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Dennis is a national seminar consultant for Mind Matters and Cortex Seminars and provides international training on Resiliency, Mindfulness and\u00a0<\/span>I<\/span>ntegrated\u00a0<\/span>I<\/span>nterventions for the Institute for Brain Potential.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In 2010, he was invited\u00a0<\/span>by\u00a0<\/span>local school districts to assist with assessments and services for students with special needs. He brings his expertise in<\/span>\u00a0neuropsychology<\/span>\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>understanding\u00a0<\/span>learning challenges<\/span>\u00a0with an emphasis on growth mindset<\/span>\u00a0to the educational team in the best interest of children and their special needs.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\"\"Jan M. Broomall, M.S.<\/h1>

Jan Broomall has an MS in Special Education\/Educational Psychology from the University of Texas and a BA in Psychology from the University of Maryland. She completed post-graduate and continuing education in clinical psychology and educational administration from The Ohio State University Law School, The Harvard Medical School, Hood College, Ashland University and Andrews University.<\/p>

Retired from public service in Ohio, Jan\u00a0<\/span>is currently a Psychometrician & Educati<\/span>onal\u00a0<\/span>Consultant<\/span> DBA Illumined Crossing, LLC. She c<\/span>ollaborates<\/span>\u00a0with Mansf<\/span>ield Psychological Services\u00a0<\/span>for<\/span>\u00a0special education assessment and consultation. She<\/span> held the status of <\/span>Adjunct Professor for Otterbein University<\/span>\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>graduate program in\u00a0<\/span>s<\/span>pecial\u00a0<\/span>e<\/span>ducation<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Jan<\/span>\u00a0has been advocating for, working with and administering services<\/span>\u00a0for people with disabilities<\/span>\u00a0for over\u00a0<\/span>40<\/span>\u00a0years in public and private systems in Maryland, Texas and Ohio.\u00a0<\/span>Her experience includes\u00a0<\/span>program development,\u00a0<\/span>educational assessment and<\/span>\u00a0planning<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>case management,\u00a0<\/span>mental health, risk management<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>business administration<\/span>, as well as policy development as a Deputy Direc<\/span>tor at the Ohio Department of\u00a0<\/span>D<\/span>evelopmental\u00a0<\/span>D<\/span>isabilities<\/span>. Jan is a strong advocate for children and their families while specializing in the\u00a0<\/span>development of service delivery\u00a0<\/span>systems\u00a0<\/span>designed to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency<\/span>. S<\/span>he\u00a0<\/span>believes that\u00a0<\/span>by increasing the growth and achievement of\u00a0<\/span>ALL<\/strong> students, productive and meaningful lives are formed, resulting in a better society today, and in the future.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
